“Will Hunting (Matt Damon) has a genius-level IQ but chooses to work as a janitor at MIT. When he solves a difficult graduate-level math problem, his talents are discovered by Professor Gerald Lambeau (Stellan Skarsgard), who decides to help the misguided youth reach his potential. When Will is arrested for attacking a police officer, Professor Lambeau makes a deal to get leniency for him if he will get treatment from therapist Sean Maguire (Robin Williams).”
The Netflix Saturday movie tonight is the classic Good Will Hunting. Seeing as how my school/freelance work schedule has been these last few months, i’ve been having to re-upload and enhance old reviews (Netflix Classic). So instead now, even If I don’t have time to watch a movie on Netflix and review it, i’ll post about an indie movie or new series you guys should watch. So even if I don’t get to watch it fully before I schedule my posts, i’ll be able to tell you how I think the movie will be and you’ll always have something new to look for every Saturday Night! Now on to the actual movie…
Good Will Hunting was one of my top drama movies growing up, especially since I could never seem to watch the whole thing, I would always catch bits and pieces of it, so when I finally saw the full thing I felt like part of my life was complete (don’t judge me :P).
However, that was many years ago and i’m going to have to re-watch to see if still holds true today, with my movie ‘Gone Girl’ being one of my fave dramas (/ thrillers?) of 2014. I do remember the plot itself being very realistic, with sometimes the brightest people in the world being subjugated to some of the lower positions in our work force for varying reasons.
